Andria Apostolou, PhD, MPH, a Senior Epidemiologist serving as the Indian Health Service National STD Program Lead, was the lead author for a paper entitled Trends in Pelvic Inflammatory Disease Among American Indian and Alaska Native Women, Indian Health Service, 2001-2015. The paper was published in the American Journal of Public Health, and demonstrates decreasing trends in rates of pelvic inflammatory disease encounters among American Indian/Alaska Native women aged 15 to 44 years in the United States receiving care within the Indian Health Service (IHS).See the abstract of the article here:
