Director of Atlanta Operations

Job Overview:
We have an opening for a program manager/director of operations who will oversee work involving our portfolio of projects related to management consulting and technical assistance. This involves overseeing the work performed by project managers on various task orders for several umbrella contracts and having responsibility to market these umbrella contracts. The selected candidate will also serve as the director of SciMetrika Atlanta operations. This involves overseeing all SciMetrika employees working at government sites in the Atlanta area, representing SciMetrika at meetings with clients and serve as a manager of the SciMetrika office in Atlanta. This position will report directly to SciMetrika's Director of program operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reviewing the implementation of strategy plans, financial status and budgets of the program area (and eventually the company)
- Responsible for the technical direction of our management consulting and technical assistance portfolio of projects
- Responsible for marketing and increasing the value of assigned umbrella contracts (IDIQ contracts) that are part of that portfolio
- Serves as IDIQ manager or Task Order leader
- Serves as a member of the Business Development Board
- Serve as lead proposal developer and/or capture manager and if applicable, interacts with existing clients to promote company interests and strengthen relationships with the clients
- Responsible for leading the response to proposals or play a major role in proposals related to management consulting and technical assistance
- Organizes, directs, and coordinates planning and production of all the support activities
- Formulates and reviews project plans, determines cost, and ensures compliance with work standards
- Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising personnel and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates
- Assigns, schedules, and reviews work of subordinates
Job Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline. A master or doctorate in a public health field is preferred.
- Must have at least 10 years experience
- Must have at least 5 years in Program/Project Management
- Must have demonstrated experience for oral and written communications with all levels of management for planning and control of projects
- Expertise in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms
- Must have demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity
- Must have demonstrated experience in developing business at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) specifically in the national centers
- Project Management Professional Certification
- Mentor project managers and subordinates
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA
- Travel expected to be about 20%

Charges
- Develop plans for management of on-site personnel (within 2 months of hire)
- Develop plans for developing/marketing our management consulting and technical assistance contract portfolio (within 3 months of hire)
- Develop quality assurance plans and procedures for project control
