JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking a Senior Epidemiologist who will assist in coordinating and/or managing the Statistics and Epidemiology Group. The successful candidates would be located in our Durham office in Research Triangle Park.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Knowledge of Project Management and experience with MS Project
• Strategic planning
• Business development
• Selecting approaches and methodologies for completing project tasks
• Program and Project management - Management and developing work plans, Timelines, Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS), Summary Reports and Coordinating and Facilitating Conference Calls with Clients -
• Overseeing a Diversity of Public Health Tasks such as systematic literature reviews, Technical Expert Panels, data collection activities and data analysis
• Staff management and development
• Developing and/or contributing to manuscripts and technical reports
• Managing and participating in the development of proposals
• Developing and applying Quality Assurance procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education Requirements:  PhD in Epidemiology or related field or a Masters + 6 years experience
• At least five years of public health management experience
• Experience in managing projects or tasks within a project that involve a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience with SAS - Knowledge of and experience with public health methodologies
• Experience in government contracting a plus
• Experience in staff and project management (MS project a plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
