We are seeking Research Associates for our Health Behavior, Health Education, and Evaluation team for our Durham, NC or Atlanta, GA office.  Selected candidates will be responsible for managing and performing technical work on health behavior contracts.  In addition, the candidate will lend his/her health behavior expertise to other teams. S/he will report to the Health Behavior, Health Education, and Program Evaluation Senior Project Manager.

Job functions and responsibilities include:

• Managing small and large scale health education and other health behavior contracts
• Developing work plans, timelines, work breakdown schedules (WBS), summary reports
• Coordinating and facilitating conference calls with clients
• Applying quality assurance procedures
• Completing deliverables on small and large scale health behavior contracts
• Selecting approaches and methodologies for completing project tasks
• Synthesizing information and making recommendations
• Performing a diversity of public health tasks, such as systematic literature reviews, development and pilot testing of health education materials and strategies, data collection and analysis, and technical report writing
• Developing and/or contributing to manuscripts
• Contributing to development of proposals and to business development efforts

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Masters degree in public health or social science-related field
• At least two years of related experience in a public health or social science research or consultation setting
• Knowledge of project management or experience with MS Project a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
• Attention to details and high level of accuracy
• Efficient, driven, willing to go the extra mile
• Customer-service oriented
• Experience with government contracting a plus
