Statistics and Epidemiology

SciMetrika’s statisticians have years of experience in study design, evaluating and proposing new methodologies and writing analysis plans and overseeing their implementation. Our statisticians are well-versed in conducting analyses from surveys, surveillance systems, epidemiological studies, and laboratory studies. They also are highly experienced in managing and analyzing data from large surveys and applying sophisticated multivariate analysis techniques. These techniques include complex, generalized Linear Mixed Models, conditional logistic regression models, generalized estimating equations (GEE) models and nonlinear models.

Our epidemiologists work with our customers to develop and execute epidemiological studies designed to address customer-specified objectives for disease management and environmental health surveillance in local public health programs. They specialize in the identification of risk factors associated with illness, disease, and the well-being of diverse populations. SciMetrika epidemiologists have extensive experience in the research areas of cancer, cardiovascular disease, environmental and occupational health, infectious disease, injury prevention, reproductive health, and perinatal health. Moreover, we collaborate with experts from SciMetrika's other content areas, including microbiology, environmental science, nutrition, nursing, toxicology, health education, infectious diseases, and injury.

Our statistics and epidemiology team is experienced in the development and analysis of data from surveillance systems, the use of data management and analysis software such as SAS, STATA and SUDAAN and in using low-level languages such as C/C++. They are also experienced in creating complex web-based applications for data visualization using ARC GIS, advanced statistical programming, surveillance tracking, database management and technical consultation utilizing epidemiologic, statistical and web-enabled technologies as they relate to public health research projects.
